Braving the snow strom

The Bat Mitzvah I filmed this past Sunday will be one to remember! They had predicted snow to hit the DC area but I had no idea it would be so bad. On my way up to Towson, MD things got hectic and as I got closer to the event, after a 3 hour drive from northern Virginia, I was starting to wonder if I was ever going to make it to Valley Mansion for the event. Good thing I left super early! I eventually made it after getting stuck in the snow a couple of times and just plowed my car in the nearest parking spot aside the venue. I met Jennifer Smutek, the photographer, in the lobby and we exchanged horror stories of being on the road in these conditions. The Service got underway, the guests slowly trickled in one by one and the party was on! It turned out to be one of the best parties I have filmed. Everyone was just so happy to have made it there and the Bat Mitzvah girl was delighted to see her friends and have wonderful time with them and her family. MC Styles and the entertainment crew were awesome and no one wanted the party to end. Probably fearing the drive back on icy roads. As it turned out, the roads had cleared and everyone was able to make it home safely. It was a memorable job and I look forward to editing an awesome video together for my client 🙂
